In April 2015, just before the 100th anniversary recognising the Armenia genocide, myself alongside writer and researchers Katie Welsford and Emma Pearson went to Armenia. Among other stories we were finding Syrians of Armenian descendent who were fleeing back to their ancestral home... generations after Armenians had fled the genocide for Syria and other places in 1915.
